Abstract
The Finnish Centre for Further Training for Commercial College Graduates is a distance teaching institute whose organisation of study is arranged in accordance with the principles of multi-form teaching. A study was conducted at the centre concerning the students’ capacities for self-study and their views concerning the organisation of studies at the centre. The targets of interest included unofficial learning systems, information channels and the sources of help to which the students turn to when they have study problems. The interconnections between the social network and leaming were the object of particular interest.
