Unifying Europe – but will training be unified?
Abstract
Europe has constituted a firm entity for centuries since the time of major migrations and right up to the birth of present-day nation states. First and foremost, this firmness has applied to training. The article points out that the integration process of the 1980s is not new for Europe and nor is it something extraordinary. The article also deals with the effects and pressures of the integration process on the structure and content of education in Finland, especially adult education.
