Committed education in liberal adult education
Abstract
The issue of examinations, legitimatising of studies, is not a new one in liberal adult education. The article reviews the discussion of the freedom of liberal adult education during the current century. ‘Is the Finland of today, striving to become a part of Europe, so badly-off that she can't afford to fund liberal adult education - despite the fact that she was able to do so in the depression years of the 1930s?’ is the question posed by the author.
