Targets and achievement areas of personnel development
Abstract
The author of this article sees the targets of personnel development as consisting of know-how and willingness. ln addition to lack of know-how, development is often hampered by attitudes and established action models. The foremost achievement areas in the author’s view are more efficiency in the carrying of one’s job, getting to know the way the organisation works, and enhancing the personnel’s marketability. The article sets out some critical assessments of the equivalence of the theory and practice of personnel development.
