Abstract

What could a lecturer´s social pedagogical expertise be in the Degree Programme of Civic activities and Youth Work at Humak University of Applied Sciences? I study lecturer’s social pedagogical expertise in the context of Degree Programme in Civic Activities and Youth Work at Humak University of Applied Sciences (Humak UAS). I begin by describing the starting points of Humak UAS, of Community Educator Degree, and (of) my own context. I try to define what expertise consists of, and what its’ communal character is like. I also attempt to define integrative pedagogy. I have a look on Bent Madsen’s, and Paulo Freire’s social pedagogical thinking and their contribution related to developing social pedagogical expertise. I conclude by asking some questions and by describing ideas on developing this expertise in the context of Humak UAS. This review has a strong self-reflective nature.
